Obituary for Felix Akinboboye

On January 29, 2019, the Almighty God called home to glory his precious
child, Felix Akinboboye. God spoke to his heart, and Felix responded. “I’m
here Lord, take me in.”
Felix Akinboboye was born February 28, 1959, to Akinboro and Florence
Akinboboye in Lago, Nigeria. He came to the United States in October 1981
and eventually became a United States citizen. He attended Shorter College
(Little Rock) and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (AR). He accepted
Christ as his Savior in Nigeria at an early age.
He was a chef prior to starting a transportation service in Atlanta, Georgia
in 1987. He moved his business to Arkansas in 1991 and later expanded
transportation needs to successfully serve Arkansas, Mississippi, and
Tennessee.
Felix loved the United States; one highlight of his life was when he became a
U.S citizen. His family was important to him and he was greatly loved by his
children and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Evelyn Akinboboye; son Jevon
Yemi Akinboboye; stepdaughter, Tiffany Troope (of whom he raised from a
very early age); grandchildren – Jamari Akinboboye, Diamond Akinboboye,
Derian Troope, Donterious Troope, Angel Smith, Keihu Smith, Kevon Smith,
Lakristen Troope , and Xavier Arter; sister Silfat Owoeye (Nigeria) and a host
of other relatives and friends.
Felix was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Emily Akindolire, and
stepson Dorian Troope that he also raised from an early age.
Though Felix will be greatly missed, he will have no more worries or suffering;
just glory. To have known him was a pleasure. To God be the Glory!
