Lucinda Williams Hill was born October 25, 1928, in
Marianna, Arkansas to Willie and Ethel Mae Williams.
She confessed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and later was a
faithful member of Christ Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership
of Pastor Eddie L. Currie and Reverend Doctor Gina Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Freddie
Hill, her sisters Ruby Mae Sims, Mable Thomas, Mildred Glaspie, her
brother Sylvester (Mike) Williams, her daughter Erma Yarbrough, her
grandson Christopher Hall.
She leaves to mourn two sons: Ronald Hill, Kenneth (Rose) Hill; three
daughters: Tracey Hill, Thelma Hill Thornton, Vivian Williams; 7
grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 17 great greatgrandchildren
and her loving nieces and nephews.
Lucinda had a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh and joke with
us while we played Scrabble for hours. She was an avid reader of black
history and her bible. She loved to read the paper daily to keep up with
current events. She was an excellent seamstress and had a unique talent
for drawing. She was a Sunday School teacher at Christ Missionary
Baptist.
